The Variety Home at Accolade Estate in Rockbank was officially opened by Australian cricket legend Merv Hughes on Saturday 19 June alongside major sponsors Resi Ventures, Burbank, Oliver Hume Real Estate, Lotus Living and Ivy Street Agency. The 4 bedroom ‘Hannaford 325’ home designed and built by Burbank is situated at 6 Nash Boulevard, which is just one of many streets named after famous cricketers within the estate.
As a friend of Variety - the Children’s Charity, Merv did the official ribbon cutting formalities and was the first to inspect the home and welcome prospective buyers to explore.
The purchaser of the home will receive a year of free gas and electricity thanks to Energy Australia, as well as a interior design consultation with CXC Styling.
All profits from the July 31 reserve price auction will be donated to Variety, which supports children and families who are facing challenges through sickness, disadvantage or living with a disability.
The Variety Home Auction was started by the Land Monkeys Variety Bash Team to make a significant contribution to the charity, and who in 2019 raised $340,000 for Variety.
This year’s Variety Home Auction project has involved Resi Ventures who have donated land in a prime location at the Accolade Estate, Burbank Homes who have provided skills, labour and building materials and Oliver Hume Real Estate, Lotus Living and Ivy Street who are the founding members of the Land Monkeys Variety Bash Team and the driving force behind this project.
The home is open for inspection every weekend between 12pm - 2pm and Thursdays between 5pm - 6pm.
The auction will be held at 11am on Saturday 31 July. For details and enquiries visit www.varietyhomeauction.com.au
